- Chicago is responsible for about one-third of the country's candy and has affectionately been called "The Candy Capital of America."
- The National Mustard Museum is located near Green Bay in Middleton, Wisconsin. It's home to the world's largest collection of mustards, housing an assortment of over 5,000 jars, bottles, and tubes.
- Niagara Falls are 17 miles northwest of Buffalo. 3,160 tons of water flows over the falls every second.
- Miami is the only major U.S. city founded by a woman. Julia Tuttle, a wealthy citrus grower, was the original owner of the land on which Miami was built.
